🧾 Guidelines & Criterion
Awards Guidelines and Criterion for Nominator
All nominations for the Procurement Leadership ASEAN Awards of Excellence 2026 must demonstrate excellence, innovation, and measurable impact in procurement and supply chain performance.
Submissions should clearly describe achievements against the following three key criteria, supported by relevant evidence and documentation.
Criterion 1: Strategy, Innovation, and Leadership Approach (500 words)
Nominees should describe the overall strategy, leadership vision, and innovative approaches applied in their procurement initiatives. This section should explain why and how the project or initiative was developed, including its alignment with organizational goals, sustainability objectives, or digital transformation priorities.
Key points to address:
- The background, context, or challenges that led to the initiative (Problem Statement).
- The leadership vision or strategic intent behind the procurement improvement or transformation.
- The level of innovation applied — e.g., new processes, digital tools, AI applications, risk management, or supplier collaboration models.
- The role of leadership, teamwork, and governance in driving success.
- Any partnerships or cross-functional collaboration that contributed to the achievement.
Evidence examples:
- Strategic roadmap or project plan
- Photos of implementation activities or workshops
- Innovation framework or concept design slides
- Organizational chart showing leadership and project team involvement.
- Screenshots or dashboards of digital solutions implemented.
This criterion highlights the thinking and leadership that underpin procurement excellence, innovation, and forward-looking strategies contributing to ASEAN competitiveness.
Criterion 2: Implementation, Execution, and Stakeholder Engagement (500 words)
This section should focus on how the initiative was implemented and managed to ensure effective delivery and stakeholder engagement. Entrants should detail their methods, tools, and practices that transform strategy into measurable outcomes.
Key points to address:
- The step-by-step implementation process (from planning to execution).
- Project management methods, milestones, and governance controls.
- Collaboration and engagement with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
- Change management approaches and communication strategies used to secure buy-in.
- Risk management and mitigation strategies throughout implementation.
- Any digital, analytical, or AI-based tools leveraged to drive efficiency.
Evidence examples:
- Gantt charts, process maps, or workflow diagrams
- Training records or stakeholder feedback summaries
- Photos of implementation sessions or supplier meetings
- Screenshots of project tracking tools or procurement dashboards
- Reports demonstrating progress against KPIs
This criterion emphasizes execution excellence — how plans were translated into actions that influenced organizational, supplier, or market behaviors.
Criterion 3: Outcomes, Impact, and Measurable Results (300-500 words)
Nominees should demonstrate tangible, evidence-based results and impact achieved through their procurement initiative or leadership efforts. Judges will assess both quantitative outcomes (e.g., cost savings, performance improvement, sustainability metrics) and qualitative outcomes (e.g., innovative culture, talent development, supplier relationships).
Key points to address:
- Clear KPIs or success measures used to assess performance.
- Documented financial or operational improvements (cost, efficiency, quality, or value).
- Measurable sustainability or ESG achievements (carbon reduction, supplier diversity, ethical sourcing).
- Improvements in supplier collaboration, stakeholder satisfaction, or employee capability.
- Lessons learned and replication potential across other departments or ASEAN organizations.
Evidence examples:
- Charts and graphs showing performance trends before and after the initiative
- Procurement scorecards, dashboards, or benchmarking data
- Testimonials from leadership, suppliers, or clients
- Photos of award ceremonies, supplier engagements, or team achievements
- Published reports or audit summaries verifying impact.
This criterion focuses on the real, sustained outcomes of the initiative — showcasing how procurement contributes to business value, innovation, and positive change.
Supporting Evidence and Attachments
All submissions should include supporting materials to substantiate claims made under each criterion. Acceptable forms of evidence include (but are not limited to):
- Photos, screenshots, or visual documentation
- Project or implementation plans
- Charts, graphs, or analytics dashboards
- Case studies or internal reports
- Supplier feedback letters or stakeholder testimonials
- Certificates, KPIs reports, or media coverage
Each nomination should be concise, factual, and well-documented, not exceeding 10 pages in total, excluding attachments.
